4 week English Course + 4 Week Accommodation + Paid Work Placement
This is a unique opportunity that InterCon UK provides for EU students in co-operation with the established language school, English2000, in Bournemouth. The aim of the program is to give experience to young people who would like improve their English as well as work in the UK.
English2000:
English2000 is recognized by The British Council and has a licence from the UK Border Agency. The school is in the town centre and provides English Lessons to students of over 45 different nationalities. The lessons are given from Monday to Friday and are normally held in the mornings. On arrival at the school, the students have to undergo an English test to assess the level of course that is appropriate.

Work in Bournemouth:
InterCon UK guarantees to find jobs in 4 weeks for students who have attained intermediate level of English.
If the student’s English is not at Intermediate level, they may need to study for more than 4 weeks until they reach an intermediate level of English.
The Work Placement:
InterCon UK has established a very good network with employers in and around Bournemouth town centre. The students are usually placed in hotels such as the Ramada, Marriott, and Carlton, fast food restaurants ie. KFC, MacDonald’s, Burger King and supermarkets like Asda, Tesco, and Marks & Spencer’s. Many other areas are also possible if the students have got appropriate skills or experience.
You normally get £5.80 per hour which is national minimum wage unless you have got skilled job. When you work fulltime (39 Hours) you will get paid weekly £226 before tax.
Our consultant will meet you in our office during the first of week of your study and will make a work placement plan with you. You can be confident that our consultant will always be there to help and advise you regarding any matter during your stay in the UK.
Accommodation:
The first 4 weeks, Students stay selected host families by InterCon UK. Their stay is half board during the week and full board during the weekend. 4 week period give students an opportunity to observe English life style and culture while they are staying in a host family.
After 4 weeks, InterCon UK can arrange the accommodation according the student’s requirements. Normally students stay in rented rooms which are one of the most economical ways. These rooms are usually in a 4 or 5 bedroom house with shared kitchen and Bathroom.
The rooms are furnished and charges include all bills and internet use. The weekly rent is between £75 and £85. Students need to pay 4 weeks deposit for this type of accommodation. Your deposit will be returned to you at the end of your stay.
The other accommodation option is to stay with a host family.
The host family provides half board accommodation during the week and full board over the weekend. The weekly cost for staying with a host family is £110.
Support:
InterCon UK supports their students while they are in the UK. We give FREE advice and Consultation for our students to enable them their further their career in a university or in a college.
Our Services are free of charge and you can pay for the course fee directly to the School.
InterCon UK also give a student card where you can use in selected coffee shops, restaurants, internet cafe, hair dresser, shoe repair shop etc. Using student card everyday in discounted shops can save students about between £65 - £80 a month.
Our student co-ordinator will give you list at the school the first day you start your course.
